Shyla Poitras, Registered Massage Therapist   

Shyla is on target to graduate as a full RMT in April, 2024 from Makami College. She has completed her required 2200 hours in January 2024 and is able to practice as a Registered Massage Therapist. She is also a member of the Canadian Registered Massage Therapist Association. 

She is trained in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage, Hot Stone, Cupping, Myofascial release Massage, and Lymphatic Massage. She enjoys listening and adapting her massage treatment approach based on the needs of her clients, but specializes in an orthopaedical approach to massage. 

In Shyla's spare time she enjoys hiking, photography and binge watching reality TV.

Prathyusha Badda, Registered Massage Therapist   

Prathyusha graduated from the Massage Therapy National Institute in June, 2023 and is a member of the Natural Health Practitioner of Canada Association. As well as a graduate of this program, has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, and a Bsc in Psychology.

She became an RMT because she has a passion for helping people feel better and improve their well being. She enjoys the hands-on nature of the work and the positive impact it has on her client's health and relaxation. She also believes in a holistic approach to health care. Her goal is to offer the best possible care to her clients. By being both a physiotherapist and an RMT, she can tailor their treatments to meet their specific needs, whether they require rehabilitation, pain managements, or relaxation. 

Her style of treatment in massage therapy is a blend of swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial release and trigger point release, tailored to the clients individual needs. She focuses on addressing specific issues, such as muscle tension and stress, while promoting overall relaxation and well being. 

Prathyusha is a naturally empathetic person, which helps her connect with people and understand their needs. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and is dedicated to continuous learning.

Nicole Sledz, Registered Massage Therapist   

Nicole will be a full graduate of Makami College in Feb, 2025 and is a member of the CRMTA.

She always wanted to be in a job where she could help people and give them relief from their pain. Letting clients enjoy the sunrise a little more is one of the most rewarding things about her career. 

Some of the modalities Nicole is trained in are Swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial, lymphatic drainage, myofascial stretching, joint mobilization, trigger point therapy and sports massage. Her specialty is therapeutic deep tissue treatments, incorporating myofascial work and joint mobilization.

In her spare time, Nicole is an avid artist, making painting/3D paintings and sculptures. She also enjoys writing and travel.

Tania Swankhuizen, Registered Massage Therapist   

Tania completed her massage degree in 2009, graduating with honors from CDI College. She is a member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada. 

Early on in life, Tania found she had a talent for massage therapy. She found that massaging friends provided them with pain relief, and she learned that she loved doing it. 

She is trained in both basic massage therapy and advanced. She is experienced with Trigger Point Massage, as well as Deep Tissue and Therapeutic Massage. 

Tania feels every client has different wants and needs. She tries to tailor each appointment to each client. She has spent a large part of her career in physiotherapy and is very good at injury rehabilitation. 

She is a mom to 3 girls which also keep her very busy. When she does find some time for herself, she enjoys reading and baking. The best relaxation is reading in front of a fire with a good book and a great snack.

Hemant Kumar, Registered Massage Therapist   

Hemant is a graduate of the Makami College Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy program and a member of the Canadian Registered Massage Therapy Association. 

He aims to become someone who will be recognized for his therapeutic work and provide physical relief to clients. Hemant thinks massage therapy is still very underrated and there is a genuine need for the people to utilize massage therapy to experience the great benefits to their range of motion after. 

Hemant is trained in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Hot Stone Massage and Myofascial cupping.

Shawna Welz, Registered Massage Therapist

Shawna is passionate about helping people feel their best through compassionate, hands-on care. As a Registered Massage Therapist, Manual Osteopathic Practitioner, and Certified Reflexologist, she blends advanced therapeutic techniques with a gentle, intuitive touch to create a truly personalized experience for each client.
Her background includes training in myofascial release, cranial sacral therapy, lymphatic drainage, maderotherapy, reflexology, hot and cold stone therapy, salt stone therapy, cupping, and stretch therapy. Shawna takes the time to listen and understand her clients’ needs, whether they’re seeking relief from pain, recovering from injury, or simply wanting to unwind and recharge.
Known for her calm presence and thoughtful approach, Shawna’s goal is to help each person leave feeling lighter, more balanced, and deeply cared for.

Shiva Ferasat, Registered Massage Therapist

Shiva graduated from the Alberta College of Massage Therapy in December, 2025. She is a member of the Canadian Massage & Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association. 

She became an RMT because she is passionate about helping people feel better, reduce pain, and improve their overall well being. Shiva finds it rewarding to support clients in reaching their health and wellness goals through hands-on care. 

Shiva's treatment style is client centered and therapeutic, with a focus on pain relief, stress reduction, and improving mobility. She specializes in Swedish Massage, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, and personalized treatment plan based on each client's needs and goals. 

She enjoys learning about health and wellness, and loves spending quality time with her family. Shiva also loves doing yoga and caring for her cats. She enjoys reading, staying active, and continuously expanding her knowledge in therapeutic care and overall well being.

Rosa Lucas, Registered Massage Therapist

Rosa specializes in treating female clientele only. She specializes in facial and buccal massage to relieve TMJD symptoms, headaches, and tension from clenching of the jaw. She also offers trigger point therapy, cupping, lymphatic drainage to reduce stomach and facial inflammation and prenatal massage. Her intention of each treatment is to help women feel their best self inside and out. Every session is tailored to the clients needs.

Amrita Thiara, Registered Massage Therapist

Amrita graduated from Makami College in 2025 and is a member of the Canadian Registered Massage Therapy Association.
She became an RMT as she has a calm presence and a healing touch with clients. This helps clients engage in deep relaxation. She prioritizes holistic healing in her personal life and promotes nervous system healing through her work with her clients. 

Amrita specializes in deep relaxation with a focus on stress relief management. She has an excellent spa touch but can deliver whatever level of massage a client needs. 
In her spare time Amrita loves to read, write, cook and bake, and loves spending time outdoors.
